Hi everyone,

I was just so surprised and happy to see something I've never seen before. Maybe anyone of you missed out on it too. After watching the FM Video Collection from the 10CD/2DVD set I bought in 2000, I went to the kitchen while the end credits were running. And when I came back, I suddenly noticed a menu I've never seen before, because the DVD usually starts with Barcelona right away. And it is full of interesting comments by the directors. Maybe it is old news, but my DVD players never showed that menu before and now that I've seen it, it's great. I didn't think I'd get that as a reward just for not switching it all off again before the end credits were through. LOL.

Yeah that was a poor choice they made, having it start up playing automatically. I remember arguing with someone about the disc having menus and the interviews when finally he took my advice to press the menu button...

Sadly, those video interviews are gone from the new version, but the audio from them was used to make up the audio commentary :-P

May be it´s me but I always keep pushing the buttoms to see if there is something else on the DVD´s.
I saw those credits with the directors comments the first time I saw the video. It´s a pitty that they are at the end. A lot of people don´t know about´em and miss´em. Remember, keep searching...there is always a surprise!
on the other hand. I think it´s a great video collection, maybe they should have included "Love Kills".

They're called easter eggs, and most DVD's have them - go to http://www.eeggs.com/tree/1899.html to find them on the discs you own.

Thank you, God bless you, sweet dreams you lot of tarts, Good-bye!

This really has nothing to do with easter eggs. The menu just doesn't come up until the main feature finishes.

Not to insult anyone, but it really has more to do with uneducated DVD users. DVDs have so much to offer and yet there's situations like this, or people who never bother to listen to commentary tracks.. it amazes me.

I check out every menu, experience every feature at least once on a DVD, to get my money's worth.

But yeah, easter eggs are fun too. Check out Bowie's excellent 'Best of Bowie' DVD set for a good example of a ton of easter eggs, which are all quite worthy.
