Has there been any more news on the Queen Singles Box Set that was supposed to be ready by this Christmas?

Has there been any word about it's release in the US?

There's a thread on the serious section that discusses this. Apparently shelved till 2008.

Yeah, but WHERE has this information come from?

If it's true then all I can say is it's typical bloody Queen because even back in the days when they were a "working band", release dates always got put back!

Queen and Paul Rodgers hit the studio to record an album and consider a second tour in the spring of next year...

Consequently ALL 'old Queen'-releases are put on hold. Quite logically, realy...

And even that is not sure at all, as much as I would love to believe it's true I have to see it first...The only thing Brian said was that Roger, Paul and himself booked studio time to 'see what happens'

Of course there will be something. You know as well as I do that they will release ANYTHING that comes to fruitation.

Of course there will be a release - because if they doubted if they could come up with enough sufficient material, they would have booked a rehearsal-room, not an immensely expensive studio.

The only way that there will not be a cd, in my theory, is when in the studio they get into a fight and end the collaboration immediately.

I agree with your logic jeroen, makes sense...

At the same time, i'd be happy with any new releases, as long as its not another bloody complitation CD a la Greatest hits, Stone Cold Hits etc....
Hell, ill take GHV 3!!!
Even a freaking teaser would be fine...

Yeah, I was starting to wonder if it would happen this year because generally, holiday releases start coming out from September to November and I'm sure we would have heard more by now.

Thanks!

How many fucking times do they expect us to buy the same fucking studio songs arranged slightly differently between the odd fucking occasions they put the work into releasing something fucking original??!!

That's it - I swore I wouldn't do this, but I have no other choice - I'm going back in time to 1984 and terminating the dirty homo that gave Freddie AIDS. Then I'm going to sit Freddie down, have a long conversation with him about safe sex, find out what Bo Rhap was all about and come back. I should arrive back in an alternate timeline that should feature at least 10 more original studio albums, and a happily producing Queen.

*sigh*

Apologies for language, but I'm an journeyman "Swearist", and I've got to practice if I want my full credentials.

Logic or not - still no one proves or disproves whether the postponement of the singles set if an official announcement or not.
