Colfarrel...or whatever the heck your name is...you spelled RODGER wrong.

Grammar lesson ... *ahem*

RODGER - WRONG!
ROGER <---------- Notice the G...without the >D<...

Got it? Good boy! :D! Have a cookie! :D!

*cough* Just thought I should point that out.

My favorite composer is Freddie Mercury. Then John...and then Brian and Roger. ;)

I vote for all four of them, they were all brilliant.

John hated HS. Fred's fave singer was not PR. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' Witness testimonies are often inaccurate. Scotland's not in England. 'Bo Rhap' hasn't got 180 voices.

Brian's lyrics I like more than Freddie's. But Freddie's music I like more than Brian's.

Generally...

Freddie and Brian in the 70s
John and Roger in the 80s

Of course, with an exception here and there.

But think about it!

For me the best one was Freddie, then Brian, Roger and then John..even if sometimes it's Freddie, Brian, John and Roger...

Lyrics: equally Freddie and Brian

Music: Like Brian heavy style (tear it up, Hammer to fall) or those nice songs (39, No-on but you). Freddie's the next (especially for changing roger's Magic in such a good song)

Emotion: Equally John and Freddie, the close, Brian.

Rock-my-*** songs: Roger (Love with my car, Radio gaga, original idea of Magic,...)

I like John's songs in the late 70s, early 80s best. Spread Your Wings, Who Needs You, You And I, Another One Bites The Dust, I Want To Break Free. Those are awesome songs. I'm not too hot on his so called R&B songs in the mid 80s.

Roger definately benefited from writing songs on the keyboard. Radio Gaga, Kind Of Magic, Breakthru and Days Of Our Lives are his best tunes, but I also like his "glam rock" songs alot, such as Tenement Funster, Drowse and Human Body. My favorite is In Love With My Car, though!

Freddie wrote brilliant songs all during his carreer, although the mid 80s are a lowpoint. The songs on Queen I and Queen II are diamonds in the rough, a little more polished on SHA and pure shining gems on ANATO and ADATR. His songs on NOTW, Jazz and The Game are good, very well crafted songs. A song like Bicycle Race might seems like "just a pop song", but it is really very cleverly crafted, a 3 minute masterpiece. I'm not too fond of what he did on HS, Works and Magic, but there are still decent songs to be found, although they lack the spark of his earlier work. Most of his songs on Miracle and Innuendo are really good again, comparable with his mid 70s work.

Brian is one of the most consistent songwriters, and also the better lyricist of the four, although I like Roger's clever wordplay as well. Brian doesn't really have a low point in his songwriting, from Queen I to Innuendo there are good songs to be found (and some clunkers as well). Perhaps his best album is The Game with Dragon Attack, Sail Away Sweet Sister and Save Me all three being brilliant songs.

I don't really like a lot of Brian's music for some reason but I love Roger's. I have a playlist on my MP3 which are all the songs Roger wrote for Queen, sad I know.
