Wasn't it '64? "It was the year of the Beatles, it was the year of the Stones. A year after JFK", right?

No no no, it was 1664. A shite year for beer. A great year for composing.

Freddie wrote that song in Montreux, in 1989-1990. Jim Hutton told about this song at one of the conventions, before the song saw the light of day. He actually announced the existance of the song and revealed its name. I have that "Question and Answer-session" (when he was on stage) on film. Freddie didn't record 2-3 weeks before he left us anymore. His last ever recording was "Mother Love". The demo of that is awesome too.....

A Winters Tale was the last song Freddie wrote the lyrics for.
The answer must then be, 1991.

Thanks for that info.

And I thought that Dave Richards said that Freddie had called him from Montreux in early November - saying that he was recording. Or I had read that somewhere. Obviously not correct.

Isn't that the number of times he stalked Brian?

Or desperately tried to get Brian's attention with some videocase inserts, having no shame at all for being behind a fence and acting like a 10-year old New Kids on the Block fan.
