I saw the BOQ3 Cd in my local store the other day. I didn't have any money at the time, but I am thinking of going back for it. If anybody has it, what do you think about it?

Thank you,

B.R

Well, the first two is deffinately better, but I would still sy that it is worth buying.. It has some great songs on it :)

Though I think it's pathetic of Queen to make a GH3, when there had only been one album between number 3 and the previous GH.. The songs are great, but the whole idea of it sucks!

(dahmn I feel ao torn between myself :()

This album should be the last Queen album you buy after you've bought the others.

I beg to differ. I do think this was a good effort to not only maintain the great name of Queen, but also to attract new listeners (and refresh old listeners as well).
The only problem I have with it is calling it "Greatest Hits III".

Don't get me wrong: The MIH tracks were hits, technically, getting good positions on the charts or selling millions of copies. There were some 'filler' tracks, though, that really weren't hits, or really weren't worth putting on here.

Personally, I believe this should have been just an 'essential Queen' collection, and not a 'greatest hits'. I say that because it has the two live tracks, some good solo material, and remixes. To me, these are some things that are 'essentials' to any collection. Not once did I say they belonged on a 'greatest hits' collection, though.

A good effort by Queen Productions, with some great tracks included throughout, but still...

Greatest Hits III? It still sounds weird to me.

I don't care how many copies it sold or how eager Brian was to brown-nose, but Elton John's version of The Show Must Go On doesn't belong on any compilation anywhere. It belongs on Pluto.

i think its okay. but i still dont get why they stuck "you dont fool me" on there...
the remix of Another One Bites The Dust is shit though. i refuse to even put it on my mp3 player.
and i heard that the remix of Living On My Own isn't as good as the original...

its okay to buy if you really want it, or just have the money to spare. its not the greatest cd, but its pretty good. it DOES have after all "too much love will kill you" and "no-one but you" (if you havent heard them yet then you might want to buy this cd)

so i am too a bit torn between.

I agree. It is quite bloddy. Elton is greatness, but this is just NOT a song for him to sing, even if you dropped it an entire octave.

But living in the states, there was no other way I'd ever hear it, so I'm glad it was released.

I actually like the new Under Pressure... gives you an idea of how much production work the Vanilla Ice guys put into their horrid version.

I did, however, see the little "+" sign on the cover, so I think that excuses them for any inference of this being Fred and only Fred. So yes, I'd buy Greatest Hits IV.

They're all good. My fave is GH2. Lovely memories from hearing that when I was young. I don't see the big hate for GH3 is needed. It has good songs on. I hate the Another One Bites The Dust mix but you've got 'Thank God It's Christmas' on there which is lovely and festive. Heaven for Everyone, You Don't Fool Me, Too Much Love Will Kill You. I recommend it.

I love the Rah mix of Under Pressure but as far as the other tracks that are decent, I play them elsewhere. I rarely put GH III on to listen to and when I do, I skip tracks.

I don't care for Elton singing TSMGO either and I'm another of millions who HATE this version of AOBTD. The solo tracks seem out of place and it just doesn't flow.

Like with the previous caller, GH II I also adore. It was my first Queen CD (not my first Queen album, but the first on CD) and I still love it as if it's a proper album on its own.
