I'm obviously clueless. Never heard of it, let alone heard it.

I have the song, on the mr. bad guy sessions. It makes me happy and laugh. Smile. It's got a catchy melody, but I do think the lyrics are too repeditive. Smile.

I did pick up this was going to be used as queen song at the end of the works, but they choose to use "is the world we created" instead.

Hello,

I have listened to this song, yes, it's quite catchy indeed (the piano there reminds me of the Brazilian rhythm).

Does anyone have the faintest idea what "yellow breezes" really mean? ("yellow breezes follow me everywhere I go"...)

It is just that it is said that Play the Game was written after breaking up with somebody and therefore it's got kind of "take a second chance with love, with somebody new" idea.

Does anybody happen to know if there is a story behind it or it was written "just because", just for fun?

Thank you for the reply.

Best wishes,

Gosh, that's amazing, considering the song was written and recorded in 1987 while The Works was recorded in 1983!

I doubt she was making fun of anything or anyone. She's simply saying since she never heard OF the song, she couldn't have heard (or listened to) it.

WTF?

I was saying that I never heard of the existence of such a track in the first place, and that even if I HAD, I have never heard the track.

I wasn't making fun of anyone. You missed the point. Totally. If my point had been to make FUN, I would replied by spelling it HERD both times.

Got it?

Sheesh.

Sorry you **misinterpreted.**

Sticking my neck out here . . .

I think "yellow breezes" refers to the warm, "aromatic" breezes that seem to follow people who eat too much of certain types of foods (such as broccoli, beans, etc.)

The song seems to have a light-hearted,humorous tone. If I find out "yellow breezes" refers to something else, am I going to feel stupid!

Someone told me yellow breezes is a fake name for a side effect of cocaine.

Allegedly.

It also depends on when you ask the question.

Nobody's gone off at you. You flew off the handle because you misunderstood the 'heard' thing up top. And now you're whinging for no reason. C&D.

Why can't people take sarcasm for what it is and laugh about it. lester didn't mean no harm in it.. he just corrected you in a sarcastic way.

Yeah i do understand what you mean, but this place is just saturated with it. And why be sarcastic and insult people... arent we all fans here? if it were a queen convention we were all at i doubt people would greet each other that people do here.

Recorded at Townhouse Studio, 9 March 1987. Feat. Mike Moran and Erdal Kizilkay.

Pretty weird track, IMHO.
