After reading the Saddam hanging thread I wondered what y'all think about the death penalty. I'd never imply Saddam doesn't deserve to die, suffer, whatever, but the penalty itself is what I question.
Does it really give the victims and families closure? Or does it make them feel somehow cheated?
Many argue about the cost of keeping the convicted housed and fed until they die, but I wonder how much more that is compared to the appeal process.
I'm not a proponent of the death penalty. My personal thought is these pigs should be made to live and endure a life of solitary confinement.
