I just watched the VH1 Classic Album episode of "A Night at the Opera"

They talked about every song on the album but this one.... Which is one of my favorites.

What was that all about?

Yeah they chose to edit this bit out for the broadcast version.

Fortunately if you buy the DVD, this and much more are included in the bonus footage.. in fact the bonus stuff is roughly the same length as the main programme. All together you get about 100 minutes of documentary.

Would be fun to edit the bonus stuff back in, in proper order. I should try that :-P

They also didn't talk about Brian playing harp on Love Of My Life, either. I recall reading where he was asked if he really learned to play harp for that song, and he said something like "learning isn't quite the right word", suggesting that he sort of faked his way through it.

BTW, they didn't talk about Sweet Lady either. They just played a little clip of it from Hyde Park and that was it.

I'd love to edit together all the dvd stuff and get the full deal out of it. Would be pretty cool. I love all the extra bits that were edited out.
