There's a lot of communist hypocrites out there. If communism stands for the ultimate strict norms of equality, that means that a government will have the right to take away everything you've worked for and achieved.

Take for instance Maradona. Claims to be a strong supporter of extreme leftists, but if someone took away all his millions away he'd start whinning like a little bitch.
Like if that wasn't enough Maradona is always complaining about the pressure of the corporate capitalist upper class over the working class and the poor. Yet, he didn't mind spending tons of money on dope which instead of doing more damage to his own health, would help a lot more if it was spent on helping people in need.

Rage Against The Machine is another fine example of leftist hypocrisy. If these guys were so anti-capitalist, then how come they're signed to Sony, one of the largest corporations on earth. Sony as well as most major record labels does not give a fuck what the message is in the album as long as it sells. RATM truly made the Machine even more powerful and rich than before.

That's a cliche provided by Western propaganda, actually. "Clear" communism and its goals are a little bit different to what you wrote. The problem is that there has never been any country with "clear" communism.

We had so-called "leninism" over here which have a lof of differences to real communism. For instance, there's no place for what we call as government in real leninism-communism, so no-one "will take away everything you're worked for and achieved" - power is in the hands of so-called Soviets (that's why we were Soviet Union) which is something like local Parliament in each territory. And on other hand - communism says that we all achieved the same for our jobs, no matter who you are - a bus driver or tycoon (or Paris Hilton who's doing nothing at all except home porn videos).

You all judge about communism by what you saw in the Soviet Union, but we have never had communism here actually.

I support absolute freedom over absolute equality. I believe that everyone is entitled to property rights, and that he may take any action that does not infringe upon the rights of others. He also has no duty to anyone but himself (that is, DUTY, not that he SHOULDN'T, or is UNABLE TO). That makes me classically liberal, which in turn makes me "conservative" when concerning that particular issue. Ultimately, it means that I support Capitalism, and am against Communism. All those "liberal-conservative" labels really don't mean anything - to me, anyway.

Serry, I never mentioned anything bad about the Soviet Union. I've never lived there so I won't discuss it, but now that you're mentioning that things there were not as bad as extreme right wing propaganda claims they are, then I'd take your word for it.

Let me just remind everyone that I despise the extreme left as much as the extreme right. I do think that people should be rewarded for the work and effort in order to achieve self progress, but I also agree that there should exist minimal norms of equality for all, and those who achieve more wealth should be taxed more than those on the lower levels of social class. It's the government's responsibility to spend the taxpayer's money on social programs for the direct benefit of the society, and not weapons to secure the power of the government itself.

That's what I've been saying for years, but no one cares to listen. Why? 'Cause apparently cold war propaganda works.

I have become utterly convinced that although individuals may be intelligent, the mass is ALWAYS extremely dumb.

I'm politically apathetic, but I go both ways on certain issues. I'm very liberal when it comes to social programs and things like that, but very conservative when it comes to government control and interfearence.
I just think that people aught to be left alone to live their lives without a lot of messy policing by the government. But, the government has a duty to support its citizens and make sure they have access to things like health care and things like that no matter the circumstances.
I'm just strange. :-)

I'm a social democrat, so left... I fight for more equality, but not for absolute equality... The ideas of Marx were too extreme, and didn't work in the end.

I'm pro abortion, legalisation of soft drug and gay marriage though.

I got to try al little more,

because I'm an asshole but I'm learning.
