Hi everybody,

This is “Somebody to Love” sung by Anne Hathaway from the Miramax movie “Ella Enchanted” (2004)

Official website of the movie = http://www.miramax.com/ellaenchanted/index.html

Watch the movie version of “Somebody to Love” on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUNZPymYj-M

Now I know there is an official Sound Track album out, but hey … you can download “Somebody to Love” from Darren Altman’s website! He is one of the musicians (the drummer) on this track.

The song can be downloaded from: http://www.darrenaltman.com/sounds.html !!!

Enjoy this one!

Thanks for that. Interesting to see her interpretation. She seems to be interested in singing it "nice", but she looses the whole sense of the song. I have always heard this song as having a lot of anxiety and anguish from the "subject", which are totally lost in this version. It is good that they used the song in a movie, though, it might attract people to the real thing.

Cheers,

Ogre-

It's a historical irony that a guy renowned for making a romantic play like Romeo and Juliet, only married Hathaway because he got her banged up.
