just saw the beatles docu on "love" and circ du soleil(spelling?)- what an awesome show that looks like being - will it ever get to britain?

as someone who has always said the beatles were a better band than queen (queen are my favourite band...but i can be objective)- this las vegas show just proves the point...how inventive George/Giles Martin are with the "mashing" of the original masters...and the way the circ team construct a show around the music. makes the piss-poor "we will ROB you" be seen for the cheap cash-in that it clearly is...

I find myself unusually attracted to I Want to Hold Your Hand and Being For the Benefit of Mr Kite/She's So Heavy/Helter Skelter although I don't really appreciate the snippets of Helter Skelter but what'm I going to do? Nothin'.

For me the standout is While My Guitar Gently Weeps, easily. One last string arrangement from ol' George Martin; it is priceless.

Heh, Zeb hates that song. I remember the deathly rage that shone from your eyes when I mentioned that song, heh

I must get this on DVD-A. Why? Because. I'm in the niche market, yeah!

Actually; Octopus' Garden never annoyed me THAT much, until I heard the version on Love.

Clever job, for most of the track - but the decision to use the Goodnight orchestration on Ringo's vocal line.... is just an insult to anyone with a working ear. Or two. They *do not go together*.
