What exactly does Freddie say during the guitar solo in Tie Your Mother Down? It sounds like "fat guy" to me.

This occurs at approximately 2:10 in the single version or about a minute more for the album version.

Hehe.. yeah I guess 'bad' makes more sense. I dunno why I thought of fat, but there's another one actually, in Dragon Attack.. I think he actually says "nice and slow" or something but I always hear it as "nice fat solo" (fat for it being a sort of bass solo part).

Come to think of it, in 'Invisible Man' "flag unfurl" sounds like "fat unfurl" too.

Clearly I'm an idiot.

Don't worry about it - I heard the exact same thing. In fact, it's only now, thanks to you, that I know what it says. I was planning to find the lyrics online, but I was too lazy. So I was always wondering what it was - I was very confused :)

That reminds me of the video for what became the "Live at the Bowl". I video taped it (in VHS!) back in 1982 when it was televised on MTV and Freddie says "you made an asshole out of me" and they didn't bleep it. I was 17 at the time and thought it was such an amazing thing that slipped through the censors...

Bubbles is not an idiot. But perhaps he believes himself to be fat or he fears being fat in the future, or he is afraid of fat people and or he dislikes fat people or ...

Yep, I'm a plump little bunny. But I enjoy it. And the government is trying to take away all the fun! You know I had to spend $200 recently for a black market can of trans fat to put back into my food?

I know a lady who trades sexual favors for spaghetti too. I guess that makes her a pastatute.
