I've never seen this, i didn't know that they appeared twice on the SNL-show(GLTCL and Under Pressure). The stage is obviously to small for Freddie.

Yeah CLTCL was the better performance of the two, but I think UP is still a decent one. It's normal for SNL's musical acts to appear twice during the show.. (to clarify, both were during the same episode in 1982) and the stage is always pretty much the same but of course Freddie could always make better use of a bigger stage :)

The band also appears at the end of the show with the cast to say good bye. The entire show has been shared here before in DVD quality from a rebroadcast in 2004, including some very bad 'comedy' skits. I've tried re-seeding it but it comes out as not matching the original torrent and starts over because I have to rip it from my own disc.

This Saturday Night Live performance of Queen's just about had to be cancelled, as Freddie was up all night the previous night in a shouting match with one of his boy toy's.

Freddie was hoarse with hardly any voice all day.... at 2 hours before showtime, the band still didn't know if the show could happen... Freddie had to do steam treatments and green tea all day just to pull the show off.

This is all factual, and has been confirmed by Phoebe and Roger at various points.

I think that was Queen's only live performance strictly for American television (i.e. not Live Aid, which was live to everybody).
