this thread for anyone to join into...I'm going to start the story and anyone can add in to continue it. I know QueenMercury and Freddie's Delilah volunteered to. Ok here it goes....

It was the summer of 1974 and Alyssa had just gotten out of college. She wanted to make this the best summer ever! Her dream was to go see a Queen concert in London and to meet the band. She loved Queen ever since she was 8 years old and this summer she was going to meet them, she just had to! Just to be in the same room with them...AHH..amazing! The next day the phone rang. It was Alyssa's friend Christy and she had some good news for Alyssa. "Hey Alyssa, guess what?..........(continue)

"Are you serious?!" Alyssa gasped. "No way! Oh, man, I can't wait! When do we leave?"
"Tomorrow," Christy replied. "I'll pick you up for the airport at ten tomorrow, ok?"
"Ten?" groaned Alyssa. "Oh, all right."
"You're too lazy," Christy gently teased her. "Now start packing!"

Alyssa had just placed the telephone gently back on the hook when she heard an almighty rumbling from outside.
Curious, unpredictable and profound are the effects a suddenly descending diesel train might have on a suburban home.... nevertheless Alyssa found herself confronting the very real consequences of such a scenario.
The enormous goods train, amid shrieks of protest against the shearing of metal, ploughed off a bridge and directly into her street. Mangled carriages were strewn throughout the area; leaving no single home without some form of damage.

and then alyssa gets stung by a million bess. turns out she's allergic to them. her lymphatic system ceases to function, her lymphocytes cease to kill the antigens, therefore leading to her demise. meanwhile, the bees also died because they defecated too much alyssa guts.

Christy was just getting into her pyjamas when an awful, sick feeling struck at the core of her being.
Disquieted, she decided to ring Alyssa and make sure everything was okay.

"Damn phone!", she grunted as she threw the useless device against the wall.

At that precise moment, the floor opened up and a hideous daemon emerged, cackling fire and ubiquitous villain laughter at once.

"BEHOLD - YOUR FRIEND ALYSSA IS DEAD, SHE CROSSES THE RIVER STYX AS WE SPEAK!!".

"Oh no!", cried Christy. "But why - WHY!!!".

"DO NOT TALK, HUMAN!!!", the daemon commanded. "IT PLEASES ME THAT YOU STAND STILL AND KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT WHEN I SPEAK".

He strode around her in a fiery circle as she stood, still as a statue with the odd tear fighting its way out of eyelids that were clenched shut in fear and grief.

"I OFFER YOU THE LIFE OF YOUR FRIEND, YOUNG CHRISTY. IN RETURN I DEMAND YOUR SOUL".

She would've done anything for her friend... but offer up her very soul?!?!

"Please!", Christy begged. "Can't I offer up something else, like my virginity??".

The daemon sneered. "HAHA, I COULD FIND MUCH BETTER PUSSY IN HELL, YOU SILLY GIRL. NOW TO BUSINESS - DO WE HAVE A DEAL? YOUR SOUL.... FOR THE LIFE OF YOUR FRIEND".

Christy stroked her chin pensively.

"Fine. What must I do!?!?".

"YOU WILL TRAVEL TO THE UNDERWORLD AND COMPLETE TEN MYSTICAL AND SCARY CHALLENGES. IF YOU CAN DEFY THE POWER OF MY ARMY OF DEMONS, I SHALL GRANT YOUR FRIEND ALYSSA HER LIFE BACK. IN RETURN, I DEMAND YOUR SOUL".

Christy sighed. "You sound like Greg Brooks".

"MAYBE IT IS THE CAPITALS".

Christy disappeared into a infernal chasm that led directly to Hell.

As she walked through the portal opened up in her room, she felt the temperature immediately rise substantially. No longer in the comfortable air-conditioning of her room, she had now walked into a sort of oven. The stone walls surrounding the passageway were a dark shade of red, and some smoke rose from some holes and gaps. She was afraid to touch these walls. Hell, she was afraid of everything in here.

Christy looked backward just in time to see the portal between the earth and the underworld seal up with a roar. She let out a very low gulp. There was no turning back for her now.

She proceeded down the stone hallway. She swore she could here the distressed calls of her good friend Alyssa coming from somewhere. No, coming from everywhere. Horrified, agonizing cries seemed to come at her from all around: in front, in the back, through the walls. She shuddered and walked a little more briskly. All this time, she had just wanted to see a Queen concert, but now she didn't think her dream would ever become a reality.

After walking what must have been several miles at least, she came to a dead end. Red stone just like the walls all around her blocked her path. Out of nowhere and everywhere, a voice like the demon's boomed:

"MORTAL, YOU HAVE MADE IT TO THE FIRST CHALLENGE. IN ORDER TO PROCEED, YOU MUST ANSWER MY RIDDLE. THINK CAREFULLY, OR YOU SHALL BE SLAIN WHERE YOU STAND AND YOUR FRIEND WILL BE DOOMED. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THIS?"

Christy gulped again. "Yes," she muttered. "What is the riddle?"

The phantom voice resonated powerfully, shaking the very foundations of her being.

'WHAT', the voice inquired, 'IS THE AIRSPEED VELOCITY... OF AN UNLADEN SWALLOW?'

"African or European?" asked Christy.

"FUCK YOU, MORTAL!!!" replied the demon. "FOR THAT SMART-ASSED REPLY, YOU MUST FACE YOUR BIGGEST FEAR IN ORDER TO CONTINUE!!! DO YOU ACCEPT THIS FORFEIT, EARTH DWELLING MAGGOT???"

"If it means continuing the quest for Alyssa's life, then yes - anything" cried Christy.

"VERY WELL, WHORE - SO BE IT"

And, on the Demon's command, "Body Language" was played, continuously on a loop, for twelve hours.

to be continued......

Best thread hijack ever, hahaha.

... After the 12-hour continuous loop, the Demon struck her with a glimpse of the future including the death of Freddie and the hundreds of shitty cover songs that would come after Queen could no-longer perform with Freddie. Would she believe it? TBC........

This is a little bit before MP & the HG came out, so I don't know where they got that from.

Carry on...
