Well, they're not cheap, but one of those might be a perfect housewarming gift for the untidy bachelor, yes?

They are pretty cute to watch running around on a video, and I've seen them on the QVC-tv shopping channel. I have robot low-to-the-floor vacuums, but they are made by the iRobot.com company who I believe started the concept. iRobot makes robots for the U.S. military such as to defuse bombs, etc. I have bought, in all, six vacuum robots over many months/years. I have returned six vacuum robots for malfunctions (and still I BELIEVE!) For two of them, I got my money back, and for the other four, they sent upgraded replacements which have been working fine. Two of them are with relatives, and two are with me. iRobot has made significant improvements since the first issue - more powerful charging systems, longer vacuuming times, easier brush-cleaning, and more models ranging in sophistication and price. It is amazing how much dust they pick up even if I use them daily. Carpets are such filthy things. The robots have brushes that fluff up the carpet fibers and thus get deeper-down dirt, plus the carpets are then softer to walk on. I wonder if the trackvacs will have malfunctions as buyers use them during their initial appearance on the market. I like my robots a lot being that I have forest green carpeting that shows everything.
