Definitely Tokyo, even if only for the setlist. Freddie's voice is in better shape in Tokyo, as he had a day to rest after the Osaka gigs. Hope you can track down the "Operatic Ecstasy" version on the Wardour label. According to them, it's a first gen, but either way, it's a definite upgrade of the old Royal Opera version.

Slight diversion here, but still on the topic of Japan 76. I wish there was a recording of equal or better quality from the following night, April 1. They played the same setlist as the 31st, plus Hangman and Father To Son. Check it out:

Bohemian Rhapsody (opera/rock)
Ogre Battle
Sweet Lady
White Queen
Flick Of The Wrist
Hangman
Bohemian Rhapsody (verses)
-Killer Queen
-The March Of The Black Queen
-Bohemian Rhapsody (reprise)
Bring Back That Leroy Brown
Brighton Rock / Son And Daughter
The Prophet's Song
Stone Cold Crazy
Father To Son
Doing Alright
Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon
Keep Yourself Alive
Seven Seas Of Rhye
Liar
In The Lap Of The Gods...Revisited
Now I'm Here
Big Spender!
Jailhouse Rock
Stupid Cupid / Be Bop A Lula
Jailhouse Rock (reprise)
See What A Fool I've Been
God Save The Queen

Wow.

thx sir GH, in fact I have only the royal opera version which is not so excellent as you know. the sounds is very metallic.
the 29.03 afternoon has some distorsion in the bass and the evening show has some problems with the first two songs...
so if you can tell me where do find the "operatic ectasy" for tokyo, it will be very appreciated
