This is a vinyl rip of the ‘Absolutely Enthusiastic’ album from the ‘The Famous Killers Rhythm Label’ (TFKRL 9002), done in high resolution 24bit/96kHz and a version converted to 16bit/44.1kHz (CD quality). This version of the LP is a first press from 1990 on black vinyl (later pressings were on colored vinyl), and has a complete version of ‘Liar’. Compared to other CD bootlegs this one has a much clearer sound, with less distortion and a better stereo image. If you rate the sound quality of the common CD bootlegs A, this one should be A+ rating.
The vinyl itself is in excellent condition, no scratches, stains or hairlines. However, bootleg LP’s are mostly not pressed in the same quality as ‘normal’ LP’s, and this one is no exception. There are some clicks and crackles and these are all manually removed with iZotope RX. The azimuth was slightly off, this was also corrected with iZotope RX, resulting in a better stereo sound. The recording also had a lot of noise (hiss) (it’s also present on the other bootlegs), so this is most likely a source problem. I did some noise reduction with iZotopeRX, watching carefully that no music got lost. This means there is still some noise/hiss, but not so annoying as it was.
I have included photos from the front and back cover and scans from all four labels. Please note: both the back cover and the label place ‘Liar’ on side B, in reality it’s the last song on side A.
Please forgive me my poor English writing skills and enjoy this beautiful concert!
