Freddie Mercury
Freddie Mercury, lead singer of the rock band Queen, totally incomparable. A consumate
performer, a vocalist without peer, with a range that defies all in the popular
music world. As a songwriter, he composed many Queen's biggest hits, and therefore,
some of most popular songs of all time, including "We are the Champions" and
"Bohemian Rhapsody".

Very rarely does one man touch so many others as you have done. R.I P Freddie you may be gone but you will live on in your music and in the hearts of your fans. I grew up in Richmond and worked in a wine bar in Barnes a few doors from Roger Taylor's house and not far from Brian's and had the pleasure of seeing Brian, Freddie & Roger a few times in 1974 & 75 even in his everyday clothes just going about his buisness Freddie was always a star!

Freddie, you're the best. There's no one like you, you are missed! I listen to a lot of other music, but when I I'm listening to Queen I know there's no band like Queen and it is just te best there is. It's hard to understand that you are gone, but I will never forget you and the queen music. With pain in my heart, the show must go on!

Freddie was such a happy free spirit. I still enjoy watching his interviews and the making of "One Vision" in the recording studio. I laugh everytime when Freddie said "I might as well be a fucking Andrew sister". Last year I went to Zanzibar, Freddie's birthplace, and felt so privileged to walk the streets in Stone Town, where Freddie himself walked as a boy. I will always love you Freddie. You will always be in my heart. Liz Williams |

Thank you Freddie for sharing with us your enormous talent, your wonderful voice, your love for life. 20 years ago, not only a great singer, composer and frontman passed away, but also a man with enormous sense of humor, emotions, dignity and personality. You are still here, with your everlasting music and your larger than life smile and heart.

Just because Freddie died 20 years ago, doesn't mean that his music and legacy did. Freddie is alive in everyone. At least everyone who knew who he was, and liked him. I wasn't born yet when Freddie died but somehow, I wasn't sucked into all the rap music, his music tells me stories. That may sound strange, but listen closly to "Save Me" you might hear something, some emotion. Maybe not. Either way, RIP, Freddie, the world will miss you.
