August 9, 1986 Anniversary Queen's Concert At KnebworthToday in history and music, August 9, 1986, Queen performed their concert at Knebworth in the UK. The historic concert, which occurred 19 years ago today, was to be the last live concert in which all 4 original, founding members of Queen, Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon performed live together on stage.

Here's the Official Info. off Queen's Hollywood Records Website Biography!

"On August 9th, the band flew into Knebworth Park, Hertfordshire, in a specially repainted helicopter featuring the characters from the Kind of Magic album cover."

"It was the final date on the Magic Tour, and the biggest audience so far - estimated at well over 120,000 people. It caused one of the biggest traffic jams in history as everyone tried to arrive in plenty of time! Over ONE MILLION people saw Queen on that European Magic Tour - in excess of 400,000 in the UK alone."
