Bee Gees Planning Theatrical Stage Musical Modeled On ''We Will Rock You''Billboard.com reports that the Bee Gees (no longer going by the name of The Bee Gees, but instead now using the moniker simply of Robin and Barry Gibb, since the passing of their brother Maurice in 2003), have a number of ongoing projects in the works this year, one being an already in progress development and staging of a theatrical stage musical, entitled ''You Win Again'' (the title of one of their songs), modeled on Queen's ''We Will Rock You'' and Abba's ''Mama Mia'' with further plans to stage the production both in London's infamous West End theater district, and in the USA on Broadway in New York.
The musical will head into pre-production this fall, and debut both in London and New York aroung the end of 2006. The Gibbs' Co-Manager Bruce Campbell tells Billboard.com quote:
''The story, written by Maurice (Gibb) and Sidney Greenberg, centers on a fashion designer and the model he falls in love with, and is, of course, all set to Bee Gees hits. Numerous labels are said to be interested in releasing the soundtrack.''
