Added on 16-Jul-2008

In a new poll in England, Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” has been voted the best pop song of all time. The majority of the ten-thousand people surveyed by chose the track, which was number one on the U-K charts in Christmas of 1975 and then again in 1991 after singer Freddie Mercury died. The tune is also the only single to sell a million copies on two separate occasions in the UK and placed third in the list of best-selling singles in England. It is also the second most played song on radio, jukeboxes and in clubs. The Village People’s hit “Y.M.C.A.” is selected as the runner up for best pop song, while Brian Adams’ “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You” came in third. Other classics on the list include “Imagine” by John Lennon, Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean”.
