In the late 1990's, an extraordinarily talented and perceptive young playwright, Charles Messina, wrote and produced in New York, "Mercury: The Afterlife and Times of a Rock God." http://www.nahproductions.com/mercury.html
This play shows a remarkable understanding of the life, struggles and joy of the man who became Freddie Mercury.
Currently, a Los Angeles based publisher is interested in publishing this play. We need to be sure he knows how much interest there is in this play and you can help by emailing him (Jason Goldberg) at firstname.lastname@example.org
I hope all of you can see or read this sensitive portrayal of Freddie's life sometime in the near future. I hope you will email Jason Goldberg today so that the play will be on its way to reaching a global audience.--Lia Sargent
