''Queen, now fronted by former Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers, will make a brief appearance in the U.S. in the wake of a 32-date European tour that sold out at every venue.''

''The band will play Oct. 16 in East Rutherford, N.J., and Oct. 22 at the Hollywood Bowl. A spokesperson told the band will probably come back to the U.S. in the spring for up to 30 more shows.''

''The band doesn’t include bassist John Deacon, who has retired from touring. Guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor are joined by Rodgers, bassist Danny Miranda (formerly of Blue Oyster Cult), guitarist Jamie Moses and keyboardist Spike Edney.''

''A two-disc CD and DVD ''Return of the Champions'' will be released Sept. 13. It was recorded at Queen’s May 9 appearance at England’s Sheffield Arena.''
