Gloria Swanson, in an Oscar-nominated role, plays a woman trapped on the tropical island of Pago-Pago, confronted about her lifestyle by a crusading missionary played by Lionel Barrymore. Onstage afterward as guests will be symphony conductor Steven Larsen, Turrin and film scholar David Bordwell.
