"The label's top single is by Queen. Originally formed in 1971 in Middlesex, England, the band had its first American chart single with "Killer Queen" in 1975.
"Crazy Little Thing Called Love" was a #2 hit in Britain before it was released in the States. "We all felt it was a hit, except Elektra, who didn't want to release it", the late Freddie Mercury once explained. Radio stations started playing import copies, which "forced the single" according to Mercury.
The follow up, "Play The Game", peaked at #42. Michael Jackson urged Freddie to have "Another One Bites The Dust" released as the next single. It remains Elektra's best performing chart entry."
