Queen, REM Heal London Article In Current Issue Rolling Stone MagazineThe current issue of ''Rolling Stone Magazine'' has a very nice article highlighting how both Queen+Paul Rodgers and REM rescheduled their gigs that originally were to be held the weekend directly after the London terrorist bombings, holding their concerts the following weekend, and how their music and concerts helped the triumphant resolve of the people in London, helping the British people to heal and have hope, carrying on as the great nation of brave people that the UK and its people are.
''QUEEN, REM HEAL LONDON''
''REM and Queen had gigs in London in early July, but then four bombings killed more than fifty innocent people. Delayed - but not deterred - both groups played the following week. With former Bad Company frontman Paul Rodgers filling in for the departed Freddie Mercury, Queen rocked 85,000 in Hyde Park, giving free tickets to heroic emergency workers and honoring the dead with a show stopping ''We Are The Champions''.''
