Status Quo To Produce Stage Musical, Hoping WWRY's Ben Elton Will Write ItBritish Rockers Status Quo, who opened for Queen on past tours, are using Queen's template of Queen's successful stage play and musical WWRY to produce their own stage musical using Status Quo songs and are hoping to collaborate with WWRY's writer Ben Elton, expressing their wish that he potentially write the Quo's musical!

''QUO THE MUSICAL?''

''Veteran English rockers STATUS QUO are set to follow in the footsteps of QUEEN and ROD STEWART, by producing their own stage musical.''

''FRANCIS ROSSI and RICK PARFITT - currently celebrating a 40-year career as the guitar strumming duo - would like British comedian BEN ELTON to help them write the show.''

''Parfitt says, ''It's been mentioned and I'd like to think it would be popular. I'd like Ben Elton to write it.''

''He jokes, ''We'd open it at Butlins holiday camp (where the duo met) and end it with me dying on stage.''

''If I'm going to have a heart attack, then there's no better place to do it.''

''Elton wrote the script for hit London musical WE WILL ROCK YOU, which features the songs of Queen.''
