The Darkness Defend Collaboarting With Roy Thomas Baker And State They're Not Trying To Emulate Queen's has an article in which The Darkness state that they are NOT trying to recreate or emulate Queen's sound by collaborating with renowned Queen producer, Roy Thomas Baker, and that they're working with him is the result of a chance meeting.

''British rockers THE DARKNESS have slammed accusations they worked with QUEEN producer ROY THOMAS BAKER in a bid to recreate their heroes' sound.''

''Guitarist DAN HAWKINS is adamant he only picked Baker because they became friends following a chance meeting at a Los Angeles party, not because they wanted to steal the BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY legends' sound.''

He says, ''We're confident and our souls are clean. We're not retroactivists, and we don't steal from people.''

''We're heavily influenced, as any other band is, by our peers. Its's just great to work with someone like Roy, and he's got the experience to just do anything.''
